Q: Do I have the right to bring my own DJ even if the venue has its own DJ?
A: Yes. Your DJ can make or break your event. You have the right to hire the DJ that you think has the skills to make your day.
Q: Do you bring your own sound and lighting equipment even if the venue has its own equipment?
A: Yes. We have state of the art DJ equipment and sound system designed to work perfectly together. Many restaurants and Banquet Halls have the sound system installed in the ceiling. While this is aesthetically pleasing, it becomes a nightmare if access is required to fix the issue. We are bringing back-up cables and DJ equipment to minimize “downtime” due to equipment failure.
Q: How do we book your DJ service?

Once we confirm our availability we will send you Affinity DJ’s formal service agreement to sign it and pay a $100 non-refundable deposit fee due upon signature of the contract.
Q: Do you have liability insurance?
A: Yes. You or the venue can contact CPDJA for confirmation.
Q: Is deposit fee refundable?
A: No. The $100 deposit fee is applied toward the price quote and is required to reserve Affinity DJ services for the day your event is scheduled. The deposit fee is due upon signature of the service agreement.
Q: Do you have differentiated package options?
A: No. We don’t have differentiated package options with upgrades like other Wedding DJ services providers.
Q: Does Affinity DJ all-inclusive package include everything that I need for my wedding reception party?
A: Yes. The package includes unlimited one-to-one planning meetings, DJ gear setup and teardown, customized music playlists, customized mixes, main DJ system, backup DJ system (laptop, mixer and controllers), wireless and wired microphones, sound system, lighting system, DJ services and basic MC service.
Q: Do you provide DJ services for wedding ceremony?
A: DJ services for wedding ceremony can be provided if the event is indoor and if your wedding ceremony is at the same location as your wedding reception. We charge a $150 fee for this service.
DJ services for wedding ceremony will include: music during guest arrival, processional, registry signing and recessional.
Q: Do you provide DJ services for wedding ceremony / reception rehearsal?
A: Yes, up to two hours, on-site, weekdays after 6:30 PM only and round trip travel up to 50 Km. We charge a $200 fee for this service.
Q: Do you charge for the time required for DJ gear/sound system setup and tear down?
A: No. The setup of the DJ gear (main and backup system), sound system and lighting system takes between 3 – 3.5 hours and between 1 – 1.5 hours to tear it down.
Q: Does Affinity DJ provide Photo Booth Service?

Q: What is SOCAN fee and who should pay for it?
A: The SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) fee is paid by the venue. The SOCAN music license gives the venue the right to publicly play music as part of its business.
